Holiday, Dinkel and settling in

3 days before we went to Holland, to see our family again and enjoy a holiday (sailing) in France, our container arrived. 2 weeks late, so we didn't had much time to unpack and organize the house. So much for time management and good planning -_-. As a madwomen I worked till deep in the night(s) to get rid of all the boxes and putting things in place. You can imagine how tired I was when I finally stepped on to the plane. Boy, did we need a vacation. But at least the house was in order and livable when we come back.

In Holland we had a great time, especially when my father- in -law came through after a very big operation. Also we celebrated my in-laws 50th anniversary as well as ours (22 years). For our summer holiday we went 2 weeks sailing in the South of France (Cote D'Azur) together with my sister and her family who travelled with their camper. And as pictures say more then words:

And this year everybody was glad when vacation was over. Because this time it meant; picking up Dinkel. Our boxer pup was finally coming home. What a sweet girl she is, it's just like having  a baby again LOL.  After 3 days Rob went back to BKK and we stayed behind so Dinkel could get used to us and I had some time to prepare the necessary paperwork for her flight (health certificate, certification and legalization off all her documents and obtain an import permit). when all was finished, and we also visited some family and friends, saw the new Harry Potter movie and did some shopping we flew back to BKK with Dinkel. And again she behaved very well in her travel cage/ kennel.

Once in Bangkok Dinkel met our two other pets , the cats Baileys & Cream. Baileys came up to meet her immediately but Cream wasn't sure about this new creature. But after two weeks I can tell you they are getting along just fine although Dinkel needs to learn when to stop. Cats don't like playing all the time (especially as they are the toy -.-). But overall Dinkel is adjusting fine to her new surroundings. If only she would learn now that walking on a leach is fun and that doing your 'business' outside goes hand in hand with that....

In the meantime school has started for Mats. Always hard in the beginning at a new school, new subjects and teachers and no friends yet. But I'm sure he will find his place soon. Michou will start her university freshman year on September, 15th. So she is enjoying her long summer break. We don't see her much as she is still in EU time zone haha.

More pics and info over our first weeks in Bangkok in a next blog.
